Colfax Fire Department is currently accepting applications for

career employment for the following positions:  Firefighter, Captain

Desired minimum qualifications

Firefighter

High School graduate or equivalent (GED)

 NC Firefighter 2     NC EMT

Hazardous Materials Operations

NC Class B Driver’s License

Captain

All above qualifications, in addition to College level classes

(associates degree preferred) or a combination of college level classes,

 with combination of management and suppression experience.

Above qualifications must be obtained within a period of time

to be determined by the Fire Chief

Shift schedule

Modified 24/48 which gives four days off every third weekend.

Salary

Minimum entry firefighter level is $30,000, Captain $40,000

Consideration may be given to salary, dependent upon certifications, and experience.
