The Northern Wake Fire Department is accepting applications for the position of Firefighter.

Two different work schedules are available, rotating 24-Hour Shifts and 12-Hour Daytime Shifts. Work schedule assignments are subject to departmental staffing needs as identified by the Fire Chief.
Educational Requirements: Minimum of a high school diploma or GED. Associates or Bachelors’ degree preferred.
Experience Requirements: Experience in a volunteer or combination fire department preferred.
The position of Firefighter requires the employee to perform a myriad of different tasks. This role encompasses the many responsibilities required on an emergency scene, as well as the daily tasks of maintaining a fire station and the affiliated apparatus and equipment. These responsibilities include but are not limited to: emergency and non-emergency response to Fire, EMS, Rescue, and other requests for service; facilities and equipment maintenance; pre-incident planning; community risk reduction; district information maintenance; and other duties as specified by the Fire Chief and/or Immediate Supervisor.

Base Compensation: $36,992 Plus Overtime and Holiday Pay
